Easy Like Sunday

I love sleeping in Mom's chair almost as much as I love sleeping in her lap. Here I am, snuggled against the yellow jellybean.

Mom and I play musical chairs a lot. When she gets up from her chair, I get in it and make myself comfortable. Then when she wants her chair back, she picks me up, sits down, then settles me in her lap, where I'm happy to stay.

Between her writing projects and springtime activities, Mom's quite busy. On one hand, it's frustrating because I don't get to blog as much. But on the other hand, it's nice... I get to lie in Mom's lap when she's writing, and dream of my Mickeybear!

I love being a Velcro Cat. *purrrrrrrr*

Please keep purring for my beautiful Whitester bunny friend Tidbit. She's still sick and needs our love and good thoughts!

Six Word Memoir Meme

My bunny friend Tidbit is sick -- please go give her lots of love, good thoughts and purrs!

I was tagged by my dear friend Sassy for the Six Word Memoir Meme! I've done this one before, but I'm happy to do it again. It's a fun meme!

1. Write your own six word memoir.
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post, and to the original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere.
4.Tag at least five more blogs with links.
5.Don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play.
6. Have fun!!

I know this meme has been around a while, so I'll do an open tag for anykitty who wants to play!

Funny Friday

So Mom's getting ready to do laundry and she looks into the laundry basket, and what -- no, WHO -- do you think she sees, curled atop the dirty clothes and towels?

That's right! ME!

(And no, those tooth marks aren't mine. They're Brainball's. For some reason, my big brother likes to munch on the laundry basket.)

The laundry basket is (other than Mom's lap) my new favorite place to sleep. It's comfy and cozy, and the clothes and towels smell like Mom and Dad. What could be better?

Another nice thing... remember when I barfed on the Yamaha last year? Well, it doesn't matter if I barf on Mom and Dad's dirty clothes. They're going to be washed anyway. Right Mom? I thought so.

Mickeybear, darling, would you like to join me in the laundry basket? I promise, Mom won't wash us! *smile*

And it's February 29! *~*~*Happy Leap Day, everycat!*~*~* In honor of this special day, I shall make a long leap out of the laundry basket (well, eventually...)! *smile*

Getting Ready

On Tuesday, February 19, I'll be on the Ballicus Blog, helping my little brother, MaoMao, celebrate his First Gotcha Day. We Ballicai hope to see everyone there! *smile*

To get ready for the party, I'm adding extra naps to my schedule!

In the Laundry With MaoMao

When my little brother isn't chasing me around the house or watching me in the litter box, he can be quite companionable. *smile*

Snoozy Monday

Mom's been hard at work on her novel, but she's letting us Ballicai blog for Monday -- yay! Some of you asked if Mom has cats in her novels. The answer is yes! Each of her novels has at least one cat. Currently, she's writing a mystery, though in the past she has written both women's fiction and romance.

I was very cozy when Mom took this picture -- check out my curled-up, inside-out ear!

I miss blogging on days Mom's busy on the computer, but I've been doing a lot of snoozing and dreaming of my darling Mickeybear.

And here is a spontaneous etheree:

Ear
Curled up,
Inside out
And upside down,
Topsy-turvy like
My heart when Mickeybear
Freshens up his floof and purrs
And sends me his mancat smile which
Makes my heart flip inside out, upside
Down, then languorously curl up in a glow.

Collective Noun Meme

It's a sleepy day for me. I'm still enjoying my basket, but I've also been snoozing on the purr pad on the perch by the window. Nice and cozy!

Mom? You called? Want a raspberry? *giggle*!

Oh, how fun -- my darling Mickeybear and I have both been tagged by our dear friend Daisy for the Collective Noun Meme! She called us a Trance of lovers. Isn't that purrfectly lovely!

This meme is free-form and free-spirited, so freed from form and filled with spirit, I'll turn this meme into a poem of sorts...

A primrose of poems
In a bliss of books...
A comfort of couples
In a nestle of nooks.
Tangles of tummies
A flash of floof,
Luxury of loves:
Triumph of truths...

A cuddle of cats.

Collective nouns for groups of cats:

A Fuzzle of Ballicai lie resting abed,
A Wonder of Whitesters cavort in my head.
A Spice of Siamese is oh-so-mischievous;
An Homage of House Panthers is oh-so-mysterious.
A Marvel of Marmalades look like Brainball,
A Succor of Siblings catch me when I fall.
A Fondness of Friends, so fun and so fine,
Makes a Glee of Girlcats' lives so divine.

And I tag my precious sister-friends Miss Peachy (for when she gets back, *smile*) and Gretchen.

Mom will be using my computer to catch up on work for the next couple of days, but I will still be visiting blogs this weekend, and my next post will be for Monday. Happy Weekend and much love to everykitty!

And love and whisker-kisses and floofy-poofy snuggles to my darling mancat Mickeybear *purrrrrr*.

Sweet Award and My New Favorite Place!

My wonderful friends Bounce, Lucy, and Trixie gave me the Sweet Award! Thank you so much. I'm so happy and honored!

I'm going to pass this award on to my dear -- and very sweet -- friend, Kellie the Orange Cat.

And guess what. I don't miss the Yamaha anymore. You know why? Because I have my basket -- the one Henry and Clyde sent me, with prizes for winning their 100th post contest! Mom keeps it on her desk, just for me.

The basket is so snug and cozy. I can even take a bath in it!

And after my bath, I'm feeling sleepy...

And sleepier, so I hunker down further in the basket...

And further and further down as slumber overtakes me...

And as I sleep, I dream of my Mickeybear and of the precious poem he wrote me.

(That's my tail up against my nose, *giggle*!)

Snoozy Sunday

A Spontaneous Pleiades:

Snoozing

Soft white fur
Slips gently into my
Slumbers as I wear the
Sweet band my Mickeybear
Sent me... as I
Sleep soundly, I
See him in my dreams.

Tagged Tuesday!

I'm very sleepy today because I had such a fun and active weekend at the Sweet Sixteens reunion.

But I was tagged by sweet Miz Allie Cat for the Catnip Capers Meme! What fun. So I'll play along before I resume my nap. And after my nap, I'll work on my villanelle for my darling Mickeybear! I miss him so much.

Here are the rules for the Catnip Capers Meme, quoted from Miz Allie's blog:

"All you catsters out there have to do is just list 5 things you do whenever you're on the nip, and don't forget to tag some friends! Let's find out just how wacked out some of us get!!"

Ohhh, I love 'nip! Here are five things I do when I'm 'nipped out:

1. If I'm lucky, I find one of Mom's t-shirts, or better yet, one of her bras. Then I wallow around on it, grab it in my paws, and bunnykick it!

2. I run around a lot. Well, I don't really run. I "tuddle." That's what Mom says, anyway. She says I walk and run as though I were wearing high heels, because I'm a curvy cat with small paws. And when I'm nipped out, the "tuddling" is that much more obvious!

3. I roll around on my back and wave my paws in the air. When I do this, I look like I'm boxing. Maybe I'm having catnip-induced hallucinations of being Mohammad Ali. But wait, it's my NOMSS friend, Cairo, who's the boxer, *giggle*!

4. I'm always snuggly, but being 'nipped out makes me extra-snuggly! Snuggle, snuggle, snuggle! Where are Mom and Dad -- I want to snuggle! Let me teleport over to Mickeybear's -- I want to SNUGGLE!

5. I rub my face against the 'nip. I like having it on my face! Mom calls me Kissyface because I kiss her and Dad so much, but when I'm 'nipped out, I become Nippyface!

And I'll tag three 'nippy-trippy girlcat friends: Miss Peach my sister, Ariel my future sister-in-law, and Gretchen my sweet friend.

Back to my beauty sleep... zzzzzzzz... (*purrrrrrr*)

White Tummy Wednesday

Mom stood on a chair to get a picture of me on the Yamaha from a slightly different perspective. Perhaps this is a half-Monty pose? And now back to my sweet dreams of Mickey...

Zzzzzzzzzz....

Added just a bit later: oh my gracious mercy me, I have just seen the most incredible Full-Monty EVER! My darling Mickeybear... **BLUSH** and **SMILE** and ****purrrrrrrrrrrr****! I am impressed, agog, and a-fluff!

No More JVC, and I'm a Rockin' Girl Blogger!

Mom and Dad ran up on a great deal which they couldn't resist, and now I get to snooze on a Yamaha. Here, I'm trying it out for the first time. Hmm, it's just as warm on the Yamaha as it was on the JVC. I think I'm going to like it!

The longer I lounge here, the better it feels. I'm really relaxing into this.

Ahhhhh, the warmth is making me all floppy and snuggly!

And... here I am, doing a Full Monty! *blush*

Yes, this will be a great place to lounge, snooze, and dream sweet dreams of Mickey.

(Darling Mickeybear, when we write each other poetry, do you think "Yamaha" will be any easier to rhyme than "JVC"?)

=-=

In other news, my Aunt Sia, sister to my Cat Mom Pounce, nominated me for a Rockin' Girl Blogger Award! Here it is, for me to display here on my blog. Isn't it pretty?

I'm so touched -- I'm purring very loudly. Thank you, Aunt Sia and Momma Pounce! Now I have the pleasure of nominating five more Rockin' Girl Blogcats for the award. Or I could also say Rockin' Bloggin' Girlcats! Well... four girlcats and one girlbean, *giggle*.

I nominate...

Miss Peach, my darling sister
Ariel, my future sister-in-law
Gretchen, my dear friend
Daisy, the Audrey Hepburn of kitties
Karen Jo, the Leading Lady of Limericks!

Biscuits on Thursday

Mom and I played musical chairs today. When she got out of her chair, I jumped into it and began making biscuits on her yellow jellybean.

She picked me up, we cuddled, and I napped in her lap. Next time she had to get up, she put me in her chair, and I resumed my biscuit-making.

Again, she picked me up and sat down, and we cuddled. And I bet you can guess what happened the next time she got up... yes, more biscuit-making. This has been a recurrent theme throughout the day!

For yesterday's post, many of you guessed that Tummy A was Mickeybear's and Tummy B was mine -- you were right!

And my darling Mickey, I wanted to let you know that I before too long, I intend to write a Pantoum for you.

Floofy Toes Tuesday

I've done a lot of resting and lounging around, catching up on my sleep after my whirlwind weekend with Mickeybear. And Mom got a great picture of my toes:

In this picture, you can see how floofy they are!

Mickey, dear, want to hold paws with me? *smile*

A Triolet for Mickey

Today, I thought I'd try my paw at a triolet for Mickey. I hope you like it, darling.

Soaring on sweet dreams of Mickey today,
My heart filled with warm, golden skies
I'm tipsy on love's sweet sachet
As I soar on sweet dreams of Mickey today.
Should wakefulness call me away,
I need only close my eyes
To soar on more sweet dreams of Mickey today
And many more warm, golden skies.

And dear, I hope the scratch on your oh-so-elegant nose is better today **kisses**.

Mickey Makes my Heart Dance

As you can tell, I'm very fond of music. In many of my pictures, I'm reclining on the JVC (which Mickey masterfully worked into his beautiful sonnet)...

...or I'm lounging on the big speaker cabinet.

Here's what I'm singing for Mickey today. It's from a song called "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" by Dolly Parton, a lady who hails from my neck of the woods.

"And baby
Everytime you touch me
I become a hero
I’ll make you safe no matter where you are
And bring you
Anything you ask for
Nothing is above me
I’m shining like a candle in the dark
When you tell me that you love me."

And Mickey, I'm so glad you liked "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", dear. *purrrrrrrr*

Mom's Chair

I just love Mom's chair. I love to snuggle in Mom's lap, of course, but even when she's off doing something else, I like to keep her chair warm for her. Well, except for when I'm lounging on the JVC, one of my other favorite places *smile*. I remain awed by how Mickey worked "JVC" into the beautiful sonnet he wrote for me!

Take a look at that throw rug on Mom's chair. Mickey, darling, don't you think that white kitty resembles you? ****swoon**** and ****purr****

White Tummy Wednesday

Here I am, napping in the sun again. I love its warmth. As you can see, there's a bird bath in the yard, and in that tree, Mom has a hummingbird feeder. I was watching the birds and got sleepy.

I hope you like my tummy, darling Mickey. I don't think you've seen it before. *blush* and *purrrrrr* and *whisker kisses*

Sunbathing

I'm napping on the window perch today, dreaming of my darling Mickey. It's a beautiful day, and I love to snooze in the sunshine.

I'm working on my sonnet for Mickey. I want to work sunshine into my sonnet, since Mickey loves sunshine so much. And in the meantime, I'm singing a sunshine song for him. You've probably heard it before, but I like it very much:

"You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You'll never know dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away."

And Mickey, I just love that you called me "Dually" in the Lento you wrote for me *purrrrrr.*
