Snuggly Saturday

Mickeybear gave me the most beautiful flowers, and here we are having a happy snuggle in them.

Thank you, my darling Mickey! This is the purr-fect way to spend a sunny Saturday in August.

In other news, my Mom could use some purrs and good kitty vibes! MaoMao's talking about it on his blog.

Snuggling on Wednesday

I was snuggling on Dad's lap, and the expression on my face made Mom say, "SQUEE!" and get out the camera. Moms are funny sometimes, aren't they?

My darling Mickeybear wrote the most adorable Pleiades for me -- go see! *purrrrrrrr*

Biscuits on Thursday

Mom and I played musical chairs today. When she got out of her chair, I jumped into it and began making biscuits on her yellow jellybean.

She picked me up, we cuddled, and I napped in her lap. Next time she had to get up, she put me in her chair, and I resumed my biscuit-making.

Again, she picked me up and sat down, and we cuddled. And I bet you can guess what happened the next time she got up... yes, more biscuit-making. This has been a recurrent theme throughout the day!

For yesterday's post, many of you guessed that Tummy A was Mickeybear's and Tummy B was mine -- you were right!

And my darling Mickey, I wanted to let you know that I before too long, I intend to write a Pantoum for you.

Toes Tuesday

Here's a picture of me snuggling with my oh-so-sweet human Daddy -- snuggling is one of life's greatest delights -- and he's holding my paw. I'm the only one of my siblings-at-home who unreservedly loves to have her paws stroked.

I also love to lean my head wayyyyy back when I'm snuggling -- it's my way of asking for under-the-chin scritches (mmmm, scritches... another of life's greatest delights!) Often, when I'm snuggling with Mom, I lean my head so far backward that I'm looking at Daddy upside down! I like doing that -- it always makes him laugh.

(And my darling Mickey, I'm still smiling from our catnip extravaganza! "Purple haze all in my brain...")

Mom's Chair

I just love Mom's chair. I love to snuggle in Mom's lap, of course, but even when she's off doing something else, I like to keep her chair warm for her. Well, except for when I'm lounging on the JVC, one of my other favorite places *smile*. I remain awed by how Mickey worked "JVC" into the beautiful sonnet he wrote for me!

Take a look at that throw rug on Mom's chair. Mickey, darling, don't you think that white kitty resembles you? ****swoon**** and ****purr****

Snuggling on Mom's Lap

Mom took some funny pictures of me snuggling on her lap. I'm downright floppy when I'm in snuggle mode. In fact, I'm snuggling on Mom's lap as I'm working on this post (except my paws aren't up in the air).

My paw looks huge in this picture, but my paws are actually quite dainty, as Mickey can attest. Odd camera angles can skew perspective.

Anybody remember the song "Walk Like an Egyptian" by the Bangles? *giggle*

You can see Mom's weird red socks in this picture. They had an unfortunate run-in with the bleach. Mom only wears those when she's hanging around the house.

My ear looks huge in this picture. Maybe I should post this picture for Frootbat Friday!

Ah, yes... snuggling is grand.

Mmmm, *purrrrrr* -- speaking of which, I want to snuggle with my darling Mickey! For you, then, my dear, from Pablo Neruda's "Love Sonnet XVII" (tweaked slightly by me, Marilyn):

"...but this, in which there is no I or you,
so intimate that your paw upon my fur is my paw,
so intimate that when I fall asleep it is your eyes that close."
