Dona Nobis Pacem

"We cannot change the past, but we can change our attitude toward it. Uproot guilt and plant forgiveness. Tear out arrogance and seed humility. Exchange love for hate -- thereby making the present comfortable and the future promising."

~ Maya Angelou

"Poetry is an act of peace. Peace goes into the making of a poet as flour goes into the making of bread." ~ Pablo Neruda (1904-1973)

My Silly Side

Mom took two pictures of me today atop the JVC, and I thought it would be fun to show my silly side.

Here, I'm thinking about how much fun Mickey and I had together at the Blog Blast for Peace. Mickey, my darling, it was a delight to be by your side for this wonderful event, and I'm so glad that we were a part of it! I could have danced to "Peace Train" with you forever.

But I also have a silly side. *giggle*! Anybody want to guess what I'm thinking about here?

On a serious note, sweet Suzanne, a dear and purr-ecious girlcat and a good friend of mine, has been feeling poorly. Please go to her blog and give her your love, purrs, and healing vibes.

Dona Nobis Pacem

"The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us."

~ Black Elk (1863-1950)
