Toes and Tummy Tuesday

Here are four haikus for today:

White tummy and toes
On Toes and Tummy Tuesday:

I dream of Mickey's.

A handsome tummy
Proudly shown in a Monty

Gives me the vapors.

On the Yamaha
I have these lovely visions,

And my toes curl up.

White, soft yet rugged:
I watch my mancat moving
Through my sparkling dreams.

Fanciful Friday

I'm having a wonderful dream -- in it, Mickeybear and I are working on a Climbing Rhyme together. This will be a challenge, won't it, dear? But the way I figure it, we are both such good climbers that we'll do just fine! *smile*

Musing

Hmmm, I'm deep in thought... what poetic challenge shall my darling Mickeybear and I tackle next?

I propose a Climbing Rhyme! We kitties like to climb, after all, *smile*.

And in news of the weird, my Mom is now a Simpsons Character. That's her, in the red shirt with the cat on it. If your beans would like to Simpsonize themselves, they can go here (Mom got the link from Kimo & Sabi's blog). Mom had fun with it!

Tagged by Little Lucy!

What a delight, my new little sister, Lucy Furr, tagged me to do the proverb meme again. If you haven't met her yet, please go say hello -- she's my brother Ben Fuzz's kitten sister, and she's a precious little dear! Every time I see her, I want to cuddle her and groom her *purrrrrrr*.

So here's sweet Lucy's proverb:

BE WARY OF THE TAIL
IT MIGHT BE SWISH
OR COULD BE THRASH.

Isn't that fabulous? Such an intelligent and precocious little girl, already making proverbs at her tender age. And *giggle*, she's talking about big brother Ben's floofy tail!

Here is my proverb for today:

A cat sufficiently relaxed to stick out her tongue when she sleeps is having a very, very good nap.

And my naps are always wonderful, because I dream sweet dreams of my darling Mickeybear!

I also want to thank Ms. Mia for featuring me for Female Feline Friday! Isn't that sweet of her? I was so touched. Ms. Mia made my day *smile*!

And last but never least, I'm inspired to compose yet another proverb which Mickey, my darling mancat, will like:

To eat robustly is catly, but to snort while eating is mancatly! *giggle*

My Favorite Facial Expression

Lux had a fabulous idea -- he posted his favorite facial expression on his blog and invited the rest of us kitties to do the same! So here is my favorite facial expression:

It's what I think of as my Dreamy Expression. Namely because I'm thinking and dreaming of my darling Mickeybear. Also, it's the expression I always wear when I'm composing a poem for him.

Speaking of poetry, Mickey dear, I was thinking that the Sestina might be a fun form for us to try next!

White Tummy Wednesday

Mom stood on a chair to get a picture of me on the Yamaha from a slightly different perspective. Perhaps this is a half-Monty pose? And now back to my sweet dreams of Mickey...

Zzzzzzzzzz....

Added just a bit later: oh my gracious mercy me, I have just seen the most incredible Full-Monty EVER! My darling Mickeybear... **BLUSH** and **SMILE** and ****purrrrrrrrrrrr****! I am impressed, agog, and a-fluff!

No More JVC, and I'm a Rockin' Girl Blogger!

Mom and Dad ran up on a great deal which they couldn't resist, and now I get to snooze on a Yamaha. Here, I'm trying it out for the first time. Hmm, it's just as warm on the Yamaha as it was on the JVC. I think I'm going to like it!

The longer I lounge here, the better it feels. I'm really relaxing into this.

Ahhhhh, the warmth is making me all floppy and snuggly!

And... here I am, doing a Full Monty! *blush*

Yes, this will be a great place to lounge, snooze, and dream sweet dreams of Mickey.

(Darling Mickeybear, when we write each other poetry, do you think "Yamaha" will be any easier to rhyme than "JVC"?)

In other news, my Aunt Sia, sister to my Cat Mom Pounce, nominated me for a Rockin' Girl Blogger Award! Here it is, for me to display here on my blog. Isn't it pretty?

I'm so touched -- I'm purring very loudly. Thank you, Aunt Sia and Momma Pounce! Now I have the pleasure of nominating five more Rockin' Girl Blogcats for the award. Or I could also say Rockin' Bloggin' Girlcats! Well... four girlcats and one girlbean, *giggle*.

I nominate...

Miss Peach, my darling sister
Ariel, my future sister-in-law
Gretchen, my dear friend
Daisy, the Audrey Hepburn of kitties
Karen Jo, the Leading Lady of Limericks!

Mickey and I in Monet's Garden

Here is a scene I recall from my latest dream of Mickey.

And here is a lovely poem I read today which made me think of him, and of my dream.

"Madonna of the Evening Flowers"
by Amy Lowell.

All day long I have been working
Now I am tired.
I call: "Where are you?"
But there is only the oak tree rustling in the wind.
The house is very quiet,
The sun shines in on your books,
On your scissors and thimble just put down,
But you are not there.
Suddenly I am lonely:
Where are you?
I go about searching.

Then I see you,
Standing under a spire of pale blue larkspur,
With a basket of roses on your arm.
You are cool, like silver,
And you smile.
I think the Canterbury bells are playing little tunes,
You tell me that the peonies need spraying,
That the columbines have overrun all bounds,
That the pyrus japonica should be cut back and rounded.
You tell me these things.
But I look at you, heart of silver,
White heart-flame of polished silver,
Burning beneath the blue steeples of the larkspur,
And I long to kneel instantly at your feet,
While all about us peal the loud, sweet Te Deums of the Canterbury bells.
