My NOMSS Friend!

We kitties on the Cat Blogosphere were challenged by our friend Karl to make a new friend who is of a different species! What a delightful challenge -- I love making new friends! So I checked out many wonderful blogs and found myself captivated by Cairo, a beautiful female Boxer doggie. I asked her to be my Not-Of-My-Species Special Friend, and to my delight, she accepted! I'm so happy that I can't stop purring! Doesn't Cairo have a beautiful smile?

Cairo has been blogging since October of 2005, and she's on Dogster! She's about the same age as my sister, Dorydoo -- Cairo will turn three years old this fall. My mom has told me a lot about Tyler, the boxer she grew up with. And when she told me that Cairo looks like Tyler, I thought how lovely it would be to have a boxer friend, too.

Cairo's got many delightful movies on her blog. I especially enjoyed the one of her playing ball and batting it with her nose! I would love to learn to bat a ball with my nose. Then perhaps my darling Mickey Mantle would induct me as an honorary New York Yankee! What do you think, Mickeybear? *smile* And speaking of baseball, Cairo looks adorable in a baseball cap!

She's not only an excellent athlete, she's also brilliant: she has a Ph.D. in Political Science and a Master's in Kinesiology. I'm impressed -- one of these days, I'd like to get my MFA in Creative Cat Writing, emphasis on poetry.

Cairo and I can learn a great deal from each other, and we'll have a lot of fun doing it!

Oh Marilyn, I am delighted about your new friend! Do you know that Cairo was one of the VERY few (I think it was only her and Lucas) DOGS who accepted the pink wig dare??? I am very happy that you found such a nice nomss friend and I want to thank you very much for accepting the Dare and sharing some things about Cairo with us!
Thank you, Marilyn, your friend Karl

Oh sister dear you have a wonderful doggie too!!! How lucky we two girls are to have such neat woofies as our NOMSS.
I can't wait to learn more about Jackson...but i will give him some time and space in this matter:) I don't want to seem like a pushy cat. I want this relationship to be strong and lasting.
I am so blessed to have you as my sweet sister...I also ate my can food today. Mommy is going to make me sleep with her in the bed to night. She is going to lock the pet door so I haveta stay inside...she is sneaky
PLHS&HB...do you know what that stands for?

Cairo looks so cute. It is fun having a NOMSS freind. Okay, I did the Meme you tagged me with. You must have just missed my new post.

Bunches of Hugs...G

PS. My bean said that Cairo in his baseball hat looks just exactly like a major league umpire she knows. He's retired now, but she laughed very hard when she saw that picture.

Hi Marilyn,
My name is Ruby and I'm a friend of Cairo's. You are very pretty...for a kitty. I don't know a lot of kitties but there is one that always follows me when I go out for walks with my Mom...she's bigger than me and a little scawie. Are you scawie?

Nice to meet you...lots of licks, Ruby
