It hardly seems possible that the year has passed so quickly, but at the same time it seems I have always been here with Mom and Dad. I'm a lucky kitty to have found them.
I showed up on their back porch as a stray kitty, and Mom and Dad fell in love with me and I with them, so they took me in. They never knew where I came from -- I am an older lady cat (the vet, at the time Mom and Dad took me for my check-up last year, estimated my age to be anywhere from ten to twelve years old), and my personality was such that Mom discerned that I had lived for many years as an only cat. I am a sweet, cuddly bundle of fluff, very affectionate with people, but at first I was very nervous around my cat siblings, and I can still be possessive, particularly of my Mom. Pretty much anytime she's sitting down, I want to be in her lap *smile*.
When I showed up, Mom and Dad asked around to see if anyone had lost an odd-eyed white cat, but nobody ever claimed me, so Mom speculates that my first bean perhaps passed away or became incapacitated and that I was turned out as a stray, perhaps by uncaring relatives.
However I got here, what's important is that I am here, and for that I'm grateful. I love my Mom and Dad, my siblings, and my loving home. I count my blessings every day.
My siblings are throwing me a party here on my blog on Saturday, December 1, so everyone mark your calendar! I will make plenty of tuna puffs, and there will be all kinds of goodies and yummies of all kinds -- and fresh catnip and niptinis! *smile*
