Sunshine Sonnet for Mickey

I wrote this more or less as an Italian or Petrarchan Sonnet and used a rhyming pattern known as rima baciata, or "kissing rhyme" (*blush* and *purrrrrr*).

"Sunshine Sonnet for Mickey" by Marilyn MonREOW

Dawn breaks: the sun, its glory,
Dazzles heart and sight
Dappled pearl by golden light:
My love, my heart's great story.
Unceasing sunshine is my Bear,
And I'm the ripe, red flower
Our love's the hummingbird empowered
To perch and flutter there.
My mancat strolls through emerald grass,
White beam among its blades
Like love, his luster never fades,
Nor could light surpass.
Mick ignites my days and dreams
With heart of gold and fur that gleams.
