Here are the rules:
When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions we seem to fall into four categories:
1. quite serious about them,
2. be flippant about them,
3. do it because we feel pressured to, or
4. do not do them.
So, the purpose of this little game is to let us know which category you are in.
Can I fall in two categories? *smile*
Category One: Sometimes I do New Year's resolutions when I'm particularly moved to do so -- and I'm very serious about these. Ergo, I have one serious resolution for this year:
I resolve to write more poetry for my darling mancat Mickey (Mickeybear) Mantle. *smile*
Category Two: And sometimes I make resolutions about which I'm flippant. My flippant resolution for this year is:
I resolve not to shred the paper towels when Mom and Dad aren't looking.
I wish I could keep the paper towel resolution; alas, sometimes the temptation to shred is just too much for me.
For the Resolutions Meme, I'll tag my Mickeybear and my sweet friend Chase.

Oh dear me, no... we Ballicai just found out that Skeezix's big brother Maobert has been missing since Wednesday.
I'm purring as hard as I can for Mao's safe return home. My love and my heart go out to his worried family.
Update: Mao's home safe and sound, as of Sunday! What wonderful news -- we Ballicai are relieved and delighted!
Thank you to The Cat Realm for the graphic!

A little later: I just found out that Annie, of the Krasota Castle Cats, is also missing!
Please know, Annie's family, that I'm purring with all my might for her safe return, and my love and my heart go out to you.

I can see how that second one would be hard to keep.
Wow, is it Kitty Escape Day or something? While I was bringing in the groceries, Pixel was eyeing the door in a way he hasn't done once since we moved in.
I hope those lost kitties find their way home!
We are purring and praying hard for Mao and Annie to make their way home quickly and safely.
Resolutions are very hard to keep! I am purring and purring for Mao and Annie to come home quickly and safely.
We hope Annie and Mao get home safely very soon.
Marilyn,
I have responded to your tag.
We're very concerned about the "escapees" in this house. (Although Whitey isn't concerned. Taking long trips is his "M.O."

Marilyn, when Mao and Annie see that beautiful picture of you purring for their return, they won't be able to resist.
We're all purring & purraying, too.

Dear Marilyn, you are such a sweet cat to think of your beans. I would never think of making such a resolution, but I only tear the newspaper a little bit when I am very impatient.

*smile* I like your resolutions. I'm a Klenex tissure shredder, myself.
I'm sorry to hear about Maobert and Anne. I hope they both return very soon.
I also have given you an award that you probably already have, but I think you can never have too many awards.
I'm having a dark and dreary day, lazy, too.
Many warm hugs...sweet friend...G

I think it is very smart to be flippant about the paper towel resolution.... hahahahahahaha
I just told the other Ballici - I only added the letters to a picture of Maobert that I stole from HIS peace globe...just wanted to have something out there quick! And it worked!!!
And thank you so much Marilyn for coming to Miss Peach's tea party! We hope it was fun and we enjoyed having you.
Karl
We never heard of baby food squash for hairballs. Does it really work?
6 inquiring kitties would love to know.

Marilyn, you are sooo pretty in that picture. Paper towels are for shredding aren't they?
Thanks for the tip, Marilyn. We heard of giving a little bit of pumpkin to animals but not baby food squash. We'll have to put it on Jan's shopping list.
