This girlcat's heart did fill
And warm with pure delight
When a handsome mancat: strong, genteel
Said he would be her Knight.
First, I swooned,
Amazed that I
Could be so lucky:
Blessed.
But our love's solid as the wall
On which my Mickey lounges
Around it fun and friendship flower,
This girlcat's heart: fulfilled.
And warm with pure delight
When a handsome mancat: strong, genteel
Said he would be her Knight.
First, I swooned,
Amazed that I
Could be so lucky:
Blessed.
But our love's solid as the wall
On which my Mickey lounges
Around it fun and friendship flower,
This girlcat's heart: fulfilled.
My darling Mickey, I wanted to run by you what my dear sister Miss Peach suggested in a comment to me... she has a lovely idea for a date! Here's what she said:
"I was thinking about our double date with our mencat....maybe a butterfly garden. It would be fun to watch them gently flutter around. I know there is one in Victoria B.C. then we could go to Murchies for afternoon tea...think of all that clotted creme and salmon mouse on crackers. What do you think? I have been thinking about inviting Daisy and Skeezix to come also, maybe even Ariel and Mao."
What do you think, dear? Mmmm, clotted creme and salmon mouse on crackers! Doesn't that sound tasty!

Oh how romantic you are my sweet sister. Such a talent for poetry. You are an artist. There is a saying, "Art washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life"...Oh that just reminds me of my old feather duster and more housework. Since mommy has no time to do it anymore,it seems I am the only one keeping up with the housework these days!! Just what does she do with all her time.....?
Love Peach
ps: We could go to the Empress for high Tea,but they only allow seating if you have a formal dress on. I don't think our mencats would like that too much. Murchies is much more casual:)
I am still reading the Shelley poem...love those last few lines the best {{sighhhhhhh}}
bet you know what I am thinking:)
I would like to see Arthur and you side by side, two big white snowballs !
Oh how wonderful! I wish that I could come, too. But, alas, my daughter would be so embarrassed to have her Daddy along. I wish you were my daughter, too. I love your relationship with my wonderful Peach! You're so good for each other. She misses her sister so much and to have you as her sister, too. Well, anyway, before I get teary eyed...
You are my first visit of the night. My Mommy has been so busy lately that she's not been on the computer much. That means even less time for me to visit my friends. So I will say hello to you and tell you that your poem was so wonderful. Are you the author? My Mommy was a writer a very long time ago. Those days are gone now and she's forgotten how to write. Have a wonderful weekend, Marilyn!
Isn't it nice that my daddy would wish to have you for a daughter!! I know he would be a very good daddy for you as he is for me. I just love him and am so happy to have a family here. Love and family and faith...such treasures. Music and poetry are so important to me also:)
I love Mozart! I want you to know that his father was born in my mommybean's hometown of Augsburg Germany! Your choice is lovely and lengthy...a half hour of bliss! I will have to search for some of my favorite classicals and write a few more poems...you have inspired me:)
soft sister purrrrs Peach
Lovely photos and beautiful poem!
Victoria is a beautiful city, according to my humans. :)
Marilyn,
Your Dorsimbra is wonderful.
It wasn't an easy genre, was it?
What will we tackle next?
Thank you for including my photo on your post. I love it when we show up together!
Clotted cream and salmon mousse (or was that mouse?) sound delicious ... and I love to eat!
I usually stay close to the wall or the roof. How will I get to Victoria B.C.?
Your--Mick
You look like a sensitive cat Marilyn and from your pictures I would say that you know how to lounge, a very important talent.
Hmmm...we likes da part about gettin' some cream and salmon and crackers.
That date sounds very fun!
I like your Dorsimbra. I think your love is as solid as Mickey's wall!
